Have you seen our giant fountain yet? The Fun Beach Fountain is the eye-catcher of the Maasplassen area in the middle of
Limburg and with its spray height of no less than 120 meters, it is one of the highest fountains in Europe!

In addition to a normal straight jet, the giant fountain can also spray a wide water screen of 60 meters by 30 meters
on which a spectacular light show can be projected, resulting in a fantastic spectacle.

The Fun Beach Fountain is so spectacularly high, you just have to see it once!

LANDMARK OF THE MIDDLE LIMBURG MAASPLASSEn

Fun Beach Fountain was made possible in part by subsidies from the Province of Limburg and the Municipality of Maasgouw. The idea for the giant fountain arose because the management of the Fun Beach Event & Leisurepark wanted to realize a unique attraction to put the Central Limburg Maasplassen area even better on the map. The recreation park was inspired by the Drielandenpunt in Vaals. Just as the Drielandenpunt is the undisputed landmark for South Limburg, Fun Beach Fountain has also become the absolute eye-catcher in the Central Limburg Maasplassen area. A landmark of which the entire region can be proud!

A STRONG EXAMPLE OF TECHNICAL ingenuity

Fun Beach Fountain is a strong example of technical ingenuity.
The installation weighs a total of 50,000 kilograms and was placed in the water of the Fun Beach Event & Leisure Park using a 400-tonne mega crane. The giant fountain is not fixed in one point, but floats on the water and is therefore movable.

A team of Central Limburg engineers and specialized companies led by Sjef van der Horst worked for more than a year and a half on the complex technical installation that lies behind the giant fountain. The result is therefore impressive: the water comes out of the nozzle at a speed of 250 km and with a pressure of 18.5 bar, good for a 120 meter high jet.

ENJOY THE VISUAL SPECTACLE OF THE LIGHT SHOW

The impressive sight of the Fun Beach Fountain alone makes a visit to the Fun Beach Event & Leisurepark more than worthwhile. But in addition to a giant jet that - in good weather conditions - sprays 120 meters high into the air, the fountain can also spray a wide water screen onto which a spectacular light show can be projected, resulting in a magical spectacle. Also during an event of Beachclub Degreez, a spectacular multimedia water, fire and light show can be shown on request. For example, a staff party where the company logo is projected on the wide water screen of the giant fountain in the evenings. Or a wedding on the water with arrival at the pier of Beachclub Degreez where the Fun Beach Fountain spontaneously starts spraying when you say yes. As a spectator you can in any case look forward to a major visual spectacle!

Fun Beach Fountain is a high-tech fountain incorporating the very latest techniques. For example, Europe's second highest fountain is beautifully illuminated in the evenings by eight super-powerful LED lamps; the most powerful currently available. The fountain is controlled by an app with which the colors of the lighting, the spray height and the nozzles of the fountain can be controlled remotely.

And would you like to admire the giant fountain up close? That is also possible. Then book our sloop with a group and sail around Fun Beach Fountain. As a visitor to Fun Beach you can also swim there or sail under the giant jet with a canoe or pedal boat. An experience you will never forget!

SAFETY FIRST: FUN BEACH FOUNTAIN IS HUMAN AND PET FRIENDLY

Safety was of course paramount in the development of Fun Beach Fountain, so that nothing can happen to the spectators of the giant fountain and the day-trippers of the Fun Beach Event & Leisurepark. For example, the spray height is automatically adjusted in case of strong wind and the fountain does not pose any danger to swimmers during spraying. Even the fish in the recreational lake of Fun Beach have been thought of, because they too are not bothered by the enormously powerful fountain. This makes Fun Beach Fountain not only very spectacular, but also extremely human and animal friendly!

SEVERAL TIMES A DAY AT FULL POWER!

On hot summer days, Fun Beach Fountain is the main attraction of Fun Beach The Beach. From 13:00 to 16:00 the giant fountain then continuously sprays about 40 meters high. In good weather conditions, Fun Beach Fountain can be admired in its full glory several times a day and a spray height of no less than 120 meters is reached! In addition, the fountain regularly alternates a high straight jet with the spraying of a wide water screen of 60 meters by 30 meters. Either way, a feast for the eyes!

FUN BEACH FOUNTAIN IN FACTS

Since 1951, the fountain in Lake Geneva in Switzerland, with a spray height of 140 meters, has been Europe's tallest fountain and also one of the largest fountains in the world. Since the official commissioning in July 2018, Fun Beach Fountain, with a spray height of 120 meters, can also call itself one of the highest fountains in the world.
As the second highest fountain in Europe, Fun Beach Fountain is also the landmark of the Central Limburg Maasplassen area.
A team of engineers and specialized companies from Central Limburg worked for more than a year and a half on the complex technical installation that lies behind the giant fountain.
The water comes out of the nozzle at a speed of 250 km and with a pressure of 18.5 bar, good for a jet of 120 meters high. At full power, the fountain can move 760 cubic meters of water per hour.

In time, Fun Beach Fountain will spray between 140 and 150 meters high. We are currently working hard on optimizing the entire technical installation.
